It started on the beaches of Brazil in 1962. Inspired by the traditional Japanese zori sandal — a simple woven-straw sole with cloth straps — our founders set out to reinvent the humble flip-flop using something the world had never seen in footwear before: flexible, natural rubber.
The result was a sandal unlike any other. A sole that cushioned every step. Straps that never rubbed. Colors that captured the joy of a Brazilian summer. What began as everyday footwear for local markets grew, one happy pair at a time, into a global icon worn on boardwalks, sidewalks, and pool decks on every continent.
Today, decades later, the recipe hasn't changed: honest materials, joyful design, and a belief that comfort is a right, not a luxury.
We believe a great day starts from the ground up. We believe color is a form of self-expression. And we believe the things you wear every day should be made to last — not tossed after a single season.
That's why we pour our energy into doing one thing exceptionally well, rather than doing everything halfway. The flip-flop is our craft, our heritage, and our promise.
Every pair we ship is:
We carefully choose every component for proven comfort and longevity:
Rubber is a renewable resource, and we design for longevity rather than disposability. By making sandals that last, we keep pairs out of landfills and reduce the churn of fast fashion. Packaging is kept minimal and recyclable wherever possible.
We're here to put a little Brazilian sunshine under your feet, every day. Explore our collections, learn our story, and discover the flip-flop you'll reach for again and again.
